ITEA offer a platform for cross sectorial cooperation within software innovation among the largest national enterprises and the best universities in Europe and the participating countries outside Europe, such as South Korea, Canada, Israel and Turkey.
ITEA projects focus on large industry-driven innovation projects within ICT software solutions in a global community. Most successful ITEA projects have large consortia with 10-30 participants from 4-8 countries and a project budget on €10-€20 mio.

Danish and Korean Preconsortia building Video conference the 27. March 2020
To promote the call and encourage matchmaking, KIAT and IFD are arranging a video-conference, where a selected number of partners will get the chance to pitch their project proposal. It will be possible to join the pitch-sessions online and follow up through virtual meetings to get in touch with relevant partners. Read more about the video conference
Important dates for the 2020 ITEA call
ITEA has a two stage application process, and offers a project proposals event as a kick off conference:
- ITEA 3 Call 7 will open in May 2020 (online project idea tool becomes available, people can register for the upcoming Project Outline Days).
- ITEA Project Outline Days in Helsinki 8-9 September 2020
- Deadline for the Project Outline - phase 1 - submission end of October 2020
- Decision on Invitation for Final Proposal (FPP) – phase 2 - beginning of December 2020
- Deadline for the FPP submission mid-February 2021
- Labelling decision for FPPS end of March 2021

IFD funding to Danish participants
IFD funds projects with at least one Danish industrial partner. Maximum funding budget for at Danish partner is €300.000. If two or more Danish partners participate in a project the maximum funding budget is €500.000. Funding rates follow the same rules as for IFDs national Grand Solution programme.
Innovation sparring course
Danish SMEs with a membership at CLEAN Cluster can be awarded an innovation sparring course with the Danish Innovation Center in Seoul, where the focus would be on entering into partnerships in Korea - including research on funding opportunities, technology development and sparring throughout the process"
