Formålet med det foreslåede projekt er at udvikle humane stamcelle-baserede in vitro modeller af den raske og Alzheimers ramte blod-hjerne barriere (BBB) til præklinisk screening af nye lægemidlers evne til at trænge over den raske og sygdomsramte BBB. Modellerne vil blive udførligt karakterisereret og cellernes proteom sammenlignes med proteomet af endothelceller isoleret fra Alzheimers ramte hjerner, hvilket muliggør identificeringen af nye transportproteiner udtrykt i BBB.

2.0 mill. Projektet har til formål at reducere informationskløften ved kombinerede oversvømmelseshændelser hvor kyst og flod interagerer, ved at validere DHI's hydrodynamiske modeller for kystområder ved hjælp af højopløselige satellitobservationer af vandstand, vandstandens hældning og oversvømmelsens udbredelse. Disse modeller bruges herefter til at forudsige fremtidige oversvømmelser under hensyntagen af klimaændringer såsom forventede stigninger af havniveauet og ændrede nedbørsmønstre.
