According to the agreement, the funds must support that the technology's potential is utilized in the best possible way and benefit citizens, businesses and Danish society.
The funds are to give research and innovation efforts in the field in Denmark a boost, including the early, ground-breaking research – e.g. m.p.h. to be able to influence the development of artificial intelligence.
The effort must also shed light on ethical issues, which can contribute to reducing risks and threats in relation to artificial intelligence.
At the same time, the effort must contribute to Denmark, in an intensified international competition for technology development, including responsible artificial intelligence, being able to retain and attract talent.
The funds will be disbursed via the foundation's existing programmes. Innovation Fund Denmark expects to be able to publish more information about the specific outcome at the end of the first quarter of 2024.
