13,8 mio. While assisted reproductive technologies have allowed millions of couples to have children, their success rates have not increased dramatically. Treatment of infertility related to ovarian function have not developed over the last past 25 years. This project ties directly into increased agency and health of women as it increases the possibility for family planning.
We have identified a drug, NTY001, which can help to mature egg, independent of hormones. This has a major impact on women not benefitting from the hormone treatment given today, or do not tolerate the treatment, due to disease and/or age. We have shown proof of concept of efficacy in aged female mice, where NTY001 treatment successfully made the female mice pregnant and resulted in life birth. We are now in the progress of providing additional proof of concept in aged non-human primates, as a translational model for mono-ovulatory species, like human. We will monitor egg formation, fertilisation rates and embryo development in the primates treated with NTY001. Further to this, we will generate an endocrine profile, measuring hormones before and after treatment, to evaluate the safety, as well, in the non-human primates. We wish to take this invention et step closer to the bed side, and with the non-human primate results, we expect to enter the clinical phase 1a ultimo 2023.

15,9 mio. Every year, hundreds of people die at sea because of vessel or aircraft accidents. While some technological innovations within Maritime Search and Rescue (SAR) have been implemented, the users/operators have identified a gap in their equipment/procedures that needs to be closed.
The OASAR project will enable the application of a holistic approach towards Planning (pre- and in-flight) and Search for a wider SAR strategy. The OASAR solution is formed by a multiple system with 2 main enabling technologies: i) a breakthrough high resolution sensor suite enabling large area coverage per flying hour: ii) Artificial Intelligence to take full advantage of the sensor and platform capabilities.
OASAR’s main goal is to increase the survivability rate up to 50% and to reduce the resources (time, money, fuel) consumption up to 66%. This will be achieved by i) increasing the probability of detection and decreasing the time needed to detection (by accurately defining a “smaller high probability area”): ii) increasing the coverage area per time: and iii) having an innovative set of sensors assisting the Search.
The project will deliver a demonstrated solution and reach a major value inflexion point (TRL6). Partners within this OASAR Project will benefit by exploiting the solution´s commercial potential (TERMA), increasing R&D research in the general SAR field (AAU), whereas first potential customers will benefit of such an innovative approach as early adopters/pioneers (i.e., DALO).

11,1 mio. The heat treatment of food and side streams for feed requires vast amounts of energy, most of which derives from fossil fuels. Ohmic heating is an established electrified heating technology for liquid foods, with the potential of saving up to 50% of the energy and no emission of CO2 if green electricity is used. The project will further develop ohmic heating to be used in major solid food categories such as meat, slaughterhouse side streams (for feed) and fish meal. Ohmic heating will also be developed for plant based product for the growing marked for plant based products. If successful, these major consumers of fossil fuel will be able to convert to green electric power. The project will develop the technology of ohmic cooking on-site at the participating companies. Sustainability assessment will be made to document energy savings and reduction of CO2 emission. Microbiological safety, and an anticipated improved nutritional value and sensory quality of the products will be tested and documented. To provide a basis for decision making in the industry, specific guidelines for ohmic heating of solid food and feed, cost benefit calculations and implementation plans will be provided.
