11,8 mio. Schizophrenia is among others characterized by hypofrontality. Hypofrontality is the reduced utilization of glucose and decreased blood flow in the prefrontal cortex and appears to be linked to the debilitating cognitive deficits and negative symptoms that are reported in patients with schizophrenia. The currently available antipsychotics do not reduce hypofrontality, they may actually worsen it, which is likely the reason that they are ineffective in ameliorating the cognitive deficits and negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia. Antagonists of NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptors, such as PCP, ketamine and MK-801 are known to induce hypofrontality. In one of Gabather's preclinical studies, GT-002 proved able to counteract effects of MK-801. This suggests that, unlike antipsychotics, GT-002 might be able to reduce hypofrontality, and thus also may ameliorate cognitive deficits and negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia. Validating this observation will be a major breakthrough in the treatment of schizophrenia. The current project has been developed to take the first necessary step in this direction, by investigating the effects of two doses of GT-002 in patients with schizophrenia and healthy controls.

1,3 mio. Partisia develops and operates a blockchain supporting secure multiparty computation (MPC). The purpose of the project is to perform the R&D needed to add new bleeding edge features to the platform, which allows parties external to the platform to receive a short proof that a computation was done correctly by the platform without having to trust the computers running the platform. The R&D will be done in collaboration with the cryptography group at Aarhus university.

1,9 mio.

2,1 mio. The pharmaceutical industry is currently facing challenges as new drug modalities such as multispecific antibody constructs, PROTACs (including molecular glues), adeno-associated viruses (AAV´s) and virus like particles for gene therapy are being investigated for treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases and genetically induced diseases. Therefore, we propose to develop a new biophysical characterization tool by combining flow induced dispersion analysis (FIDA), and advanced optical detection.
