25,0 mio. Ammonia (NH3) is envisioned as a key future sustainable fuel for the marine sector. NH3 is attractive for obtaining zero carbon emissions, and it can be stored as a liquid with an acceptable energy density. NH3 is also a clean energy carrier, which can be produced with renewable power in PtX processes.
In this project the consortium will develop and demonstrate a solution that improves combustion properties of NH3 by hydrogen (H2) enrichment. This mixture can then be used as fuel for 4-stroke engines and marine boilers, which are not currently able to operate on pure NH3.
The project will develop an NH3 cracking unit, which converts NH3 to H2. Onboard storage of H2 can then be avoided, which makes fuel handling and storage safer, cheaper and more efficient. The chemical cracking can utilize waste heat to increases the heating value of the fuel mix significantly. By improving the ignition and combustion properties and utilizing exhaust waste heat, the thermal efficiency in engine combustion is expected to improve as well.
The concept will be demonstrated for application in existing dual fuel engine designs. New burner technology will also be developed for boilers.
The solutions that the project offers are vital elements within the entire NH3 value chain, as stated in the Innomission 2 Roadmap and the vision is to: 1) couple producers and end users of NH3, 2) support the development of commercially available NH3 ships, and 3) increase the demand for NH3 from bunkering hubs.

31,1 mio. As a response to the ongoing environmental and energy crises, Photovoltaics (solar panels) are increasingly being installed on farmland in Denmark and Europe. This development has taken place despite the fact that agricultural land is a scare resource needed to feed the Worlds rapidly increasing food demand.
An important next step in this development is AgriPhotoVoltaic systems that benefit from dual use of farm land areas by combining electricity production with agricultural production. This allows for more than agricultural land area carbon neutrality by offsetting the remaining production emissions. However, the present photovoltaics systems are not designed to facilitate cultivation of food crops, but solely for maximizing energy production. AGRIVOLT will in a full-scale experiment investigate the potentials and limitations of using an AgriPV system installed on high-productive farmland.
The project consortium consists of the four partners European Energy, Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen and Slagelse Municipality. All partners provide important and complimenting technology and knowledge on photovoltaics, cropping systems and food production, biodiversity, management of field robots and economic and sociological knowledge to secure both the technical and agricultural success of the project and to uncover challenges and solutions for the implementation and path to the market.

25,4 mio. E-commerce is booming in the fashion industry with multi-billion dollar market value. 30% of shipped goods are returned with the primary reasons being either wrong size or wrong color, with colors perceived from pictures and videos on the e-commerce web sites. This leads to enormous waste due to unnecessary packaging, shipment and clothes destruction. Today, no software solutions exist for automated true and consistent color alignment across still pictures and videos for professional photographers. The size of this market is currently $1bn and the market is expected to double by 2028.
The vision of the AICF project is to reduce the return rate in fashion industry e-commerce by 25% by 2030 due to color issues or 6% in total returns.
The mission of AICF is to set new industrial standards by building novel AI-driven automated color-editing for photos and video for professional use.
The project combines world class researchers in the fields of AI and photonics with the world leading Danish software company of the field, Capture One, thus providing a unique opportunity to develop new compression formats, UHD monitor support and coloring of moving objects to achieve the most natural colors.
When successful, AICF will enable Capture One to defend and expand their current 2-3% market share of the still image color editing market worth 180 mio dkk in 2021 to 10% of the combined still & video market leading to a 1.200 mio dkk market share by 2028.

33,5 mio. Food allergy is a major health problem of growing concern, affecting more than 30 million people in US and Europe. Living with food allergy has a tremendous impact on the quality of life, with only trace amounts of allergens being able to trigger severe allergic reactions and potentially death. There are significant unmet medical needs for safe, efficacious, and convenient treatments of food allergies. FDA approved the first drug ever for food allergy immunotherapy (IT) in January 2020, thereby opening tremendous business potential within this emerging market.
ALLEVIATE2 aims to develop novel drugs for food allergy sublingual IT (SLIT) with unmatched safety, efficacy and convenience profiles that would significantly improve quality of life of patients. This project will leverage the proprietary therapeutic strategy developed at DTU and successfully applied to develop drug candidates during the IFD funded ALLEVIATE project, as well as the combined research, clinical and business expertise of DTU, SickKids Hospital and ALK, the world leading allergy IT company. ALLEVIATE2 will transfer the therapeutic strategy from peanut allergy IT drug candidates to multiple-nut and complete the preclinical drug discovery phase for peanut and multiple-nut SLIT. Market analysts forecast that ALK can capture a 2-3 BUSD market share in the emerging food allergy IT market, and ALLEVIATE2 represents the first pipeline drugs in the endeavour to realise the growth potential.
