The Space theme supports applied research as well as testing and demonstration projects, and funding may be awarded to space technology initiatives in areas such as:
Space-based green solutions addressing climate, environment, and nature (including land use and monitoring)
Quantum technologies and space-based communication
Defence and security
Use of space data in combination with artificial intelligence, digital twins, and supercomputing
