Innovation Fund Denmark is looking for External Evaluators for the Grand Solutions Programme

Have you always wanted to contribute to the assessment of ambitious research and innovation project applications that aim to create value, jobs and solve societal challenges? Join us and be a part of the new corps of External Evaluators who will assist us with the assessments of Grand Solutions applications.

 

Do you have recent substantial experience with commercialization and implementation of research results? And/or do you have solid knowledge and experience in a specific professional field? Well, here is your chance to help Innovation Fund Denmark assess ambitious research and innovation projects within the Grand Solutions programme.

The Grand Solutions programme invests in ambitious, cross-cutting research and innovation projects that can create new, concrete solutions to important politically prioritized societal challenges that create value for Denmark. The size of a Grand Solutions investment is typically between 5 to 40 mio. DKK. Learn more about Innovation Fund Denmark’s Grand Solutions Programme here.

We need your expertise to assess project applications within one or more of the three paralleled calls:

  • Life-Science, Health & Welfare Technology
  • Digitization, technology and innovation
  • Green Research, Technology Development and Innovation

Do you have what it takes?

Our future External Evaluators excel in one or more of the following areas:

  • Have recent substantial experience with commercialization and implementation of research results from the private or the public sector - preferably also internationally.
  • Have solid and extensive knowledge and recent experience in a specific professional field and its associated sector/domain in Denmark - preferably also internationally.
  • Have recent relevant employment in the private or public sector.
  • Are able to assess the strategic relevance for Denmark and the Danish society of a particular Grand Solutions application.

The number of applications that you as an External Evaluator are asked to assess will vary from time to time, but we expect that you are able to assess minimum four applications, and we will not ask you to assess more than 10 applications annually. You will receive a remuneration per application assessed.

The External Evaluator function is from 1st of June 2023 and for a period of three years with possibilities for extensions.

In addition to your assessment, the projects are also assessed by Investment Officers from Innovation Fund Denmark and International peers.

  • A short description of why your profile matches what we are looking for (maximum 1100 words)
  • A short CV, potentially in the form of a link to a publicly available profile such as LinkedIn.

Before the end of May 2023, selected candidates will receive an e-mail where Innovation Fund Denmark requests the candidate to contribute to the assessment of one or more project applications.
