M-ERA.NET CALL 2022

The aim is to fund ambitious transnational RTD projects addressing materials research and innovation including materials for energy generating and storing elements.

Hvem?

Project consortia must consist of at least 3 partners (all requesting funding from a funding organisation listed in Annex 3 in “guide for proposers”) from at least 3 different countries (at least 2 EU member state or associated country) participating in the M-ERA.NET Call 2022. SMEs, large companies, academic research groups, universities, research organisations or other research organisations can participate. Innovation Fund Denmark encourages and prioritizes involvement of Danish non-academic partners. Applicants are further encouraged to support or to coordinate with the Innomission partnerships funded by Innovation Fund Denmark when relevant.

Hvad?

Grants from IFD are in general administrated in accordance with EU Commission Block Exemption regulation for state aid (GBER)3. Please read more about IFDs funding rates in the Guidelines: International Programmes co-funded by Innovation Fund Denmark on the IFD webpage.

Hvor meget?

Max IFD funding to one Danish partner is EUR 300,000 and the total maximum for all Danish partners, if the project has two or more Danish partners, is EUR 500,000.

M-ERA.NET aims to strengthen the contribution of materials R&D to energy-related applications where applicable.

The Call 2022 includes the following thematic areas:
•    Materials for energy
•    Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
•    High performance composites
•    Functional materials

In stage 1, a Pre-Proposal is mandatory. It has to be submitted by the coordinator through the M-ERA.NET submission tool until 15 June 2022, 12:00 C.E.T. The mandatory Pre-Proposal form available at https://www.m-era.net/joint-call-2022 has to be used. At the same time national/regional funding applications must be submitted to each of the involved funding organisation according to their specific rules (if applicable).

In stage 2, a Full-Proposal and an Annex 1 to the Full-Proposal are mandatory. They must be submitted by the project coordinator through the M-ERA.NET submission tool until 17 November 2022, 12:00 C.E.T. The mandatory Full-Proposal form and the mandatory Annex 1 to Full-Proposal form available at https://www.m-era.net/joint-call2022 have to be used.

Danish participants in the call must upload the international call application form incl. annexes on e-grant after the call deadline. An e-grant file number will be provided to all Danish participants individually shortly after the application deadline.
