Pre-announcement: THCS (Call 2023) – Transforming Health and Care Systems

The Horizon Europe Partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has pre-announced its first Joint Transnational Call (2023): “Healthcare of the Future”.

Hvem?

IFD can fund Danish partners in successful projects. Transnational projects may be submitted by applicants who belong to one of the following categories and are eligible to participate and receive funding from IFD: Universities or other higher education institutions; Research and knowledge dissemination organisations; Non-university public or private research and/or innovation organisations; Hospitals or foundations or any healthcare providers; User organisations; Commercial companies, small and medium-size enterprises

Hvad?

This is a call for collaborative, transnational research, and innovation actions. Applied research, and implementation research, developing, piloting, and testing are within the scope of the call. Projects demonstrating proof of concept(s), validation of concepts or solutions, and demonstrations of solutions in relevant health and care settings, replication in other settings are also within scope.

Hvor meget?

One Danish project partner may apply for max 300.000 EUR. If two or more Danish partners participate in a project, they can max apply for 500.000 EUR in total from IFD.

The Horizon Europe Partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has pre-announced its first Joint Transnational Call (2023): “Healthcare of the Future”.

The objective of this call is to encourage the optimization of patient care pathways and contribute to the transition towards more sustainable, efficient, resilient, ethical, high quality, and accessible person-centered healthcare systems. The call addresses the challenge posed by the increasing number of patients treated in hospitals or other healthcare facilities and the need to ensure continuity of care and offer better integration of hospital services with outpatient care.

 

IFD can fund Danish partners in successful projects. Transnational projects may be submitted by applicants who belong to one of the following categories and are eligible to participate and receive funding from IFD:

  • Universities or other higher education institutions,
  • Research and knowledge dissemination organisations,
  • Non-university public or private research and/or innovation organisations,
  • Hospitals or foundations or any healthcare providers,
  • User organisations
  • Commercial companies, small and medium-size enterprises

 

Proposals will be rejected if they:

  • have a predominantly pre-clinical /bio-medical component,
  • are purely epidemiological studies mapping the extent of and causal factors behind illnesses, without a focus on solutions, models or implementation in the health and care systems.
  • solely concern social /welfare services and do not address issues in the health and care services.
  • solely concern development of new technological solutions, without a focus on integration of the solutions, models or implementation in the health and care systems.

The minimum project duration is 12 months and the maximum project duration is 36 months.
