The Horizon Europe Partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS) has pre-announced its first Joint Transnational Call (2023): “Healthcare of the Future”.
The objective of this call is to encourage the optimization of patient care pathways and contribute to the transition towards more sustainable, efficient, resilient, ethical, high quality, and accessible person-centered healthcare systems. The call addresses the challenge posed by the increasing number of patients treated in hospitals or other healthcare facilities and the need to ensure continuity of care and offer better integration of hospital services with outpatient care.
IFD can fund Danish partners in successful projects. Transnational projects may be submitted by applicants who belong to one of the following categories and are eligible to participate and receive funding from IFD:
- Universities or other higher education institutions,
- Research and knowledge dissemination organisations,
- Non-university public or private research and/or innovation organisations,
- Hospitals or foundations or any healthcare providers,
- User organisations
- Commercial companies, small and medium-size enterprises
Proposals will be rejected if they:
- have a predominantly pre-clinical /bio-medical component,
- are purely epidemiological studies mapping the extent of and causal factors behind illnesses, without a focus on solutions, models or implementation in the health and care systems.
- solely concern social /welfare services and do not address issues in the health and care services.
- solely concern development of new technological solutions, without a focus on integration of the solutions, models or implementation in the health and care systems.
The minimum project duration is 12 months and the maximum project duration is 36 months.
