Smart Energy Systems (JPP SES) & GEOTHERMICA ERA-Net Joint Call 2021

The GeoThermica call seeks to accelerate the heating and cooling transition by integrating technological progress in the various heating and/or cooling technologies, with a strong presence but not limited to geothermal energy technologies.

Hvem?

IFD can fund all types of partners including Industry, public and private organisations, universities and research institutes (GTS institutes). However, IFD only funds projects, which includes Danish user-organisation(s) and/or a commercial partner(s). Danish Universities, research organisations and other types of organisations are also invited to participate as partners in such consortia.

Hvad?

GEOTHERMICA targets projects with a significant impact on the heating and/or cooling transition. The overall purpose of the call is to resolve challenges facing communities to improve demand for heating and cooling and its integration in the overall energy system by taking innovative ideas and transforming them into reality.

Hvor meget?

Maximum funding budget including overhead for a Danish partner is €300.000. If two or more Danish partners participate in a project the maximum funding budget is €500.000. Eligible cost-categories for Danish partners: Salary, Travel, Subcontracting to a limited extend, Materials, Communication and knowledge sharing and specified ‘Other expenses’.

Expected project start

A significant proportion of the projects resulting from this call are expected to focus on district heating and/or cooling systems, which does not preclude projects with different scopes and projects on industrial heating and cooling innovation. The project should address one or more of the abovementioned elements of the heating and/or cooling chain. A significant proportion of the projects is also expected to focus on local and regional sources.
