Det er derfor vigtigt at bevare vores betonbroer og forlænge deres levetid så meget som muligt. Projektet udvikler eksperimentel og teoretisk evidens for bæreevneberegning af betonbroer der indeholder armering der ikke kan medtages i nutidens standarder. Det vil resultere i mere præcise beregninger og kan reducere antallet af broer der skal forstærkes eller rives ned.
