430.000 I dag kan man ikke producere asfalt uden det fossile bindemiddel bitumen pga. mangel på gode alternativer. Der er brug for at tænke grønt også i vejbranchen, og her vil Visibuilt vise vejen med en banebrydende biobaseret vejteknologi, der gør en ny cirkulær vejproduktion muligt.
Danmark forbruger årligt 4 mio. tons asfalt, som produceres ved 400 °C. Opvarmningen skyldes olie-bindemidlet bitumen. På trods af bitumen kun udgør ca. 5 % af asfalt, står det for godt og vel 50 % af materiale-udgifterne og op mod 90 % af CO2-aftrykket. Asfaltindustrien har ikke noget godt alternativ til bitumen. Visibuilt vil udvikle et revolutionerende asfaltbindemiddel, som kan nedbringe energiforbruget og CO2-udledningen med 90%.
