1.1 mill. Applications with high power Lithium Batteries requires advanced algorithms with Accurate and robust estimation of SOC (State of Charge) SOH (State of Health) and intelligent balancing of individual cells in the battery.
Batteries in high value applications (Car, Bus, train, robot, energy Storage etc) must have that to ensure as much drive range as possible. In addition, the life of the battery can be extended, if the cells in the battery pack are balanced well. Finally, the battery can be used in a second life, if the remaining useable energy or SOH (State of Health) is correctly estimated.
Existing methods to estimate these vital elements, are either oversimplified, expensive or reserved to high level use cases such as Electric cars. Our solution is cost efficient and can be adapted by
OEM's as well as battery integrators, addressing Industrial batteries for Energy Storage,
Robots, Material handling, Motorcycles and Commercial Vehicles. In those applications, our
solution will be seen as highly cost efficient and yet cutting-edge technology.

Målet er at forstå termomekaniske laster ved høje temperaturforskelle og samspillet med vibrationer i tryksatte strukturer. Projektet vil udvikle nye beregningsmetoder og værktøj som vil give Vestas Aircoil muligheden for at levere varmevekslere til fx røggas recirkulationskølere (EGR) til store 4-taktsmotorer, som reducerer NOx-emissionen. Her spænder temperaturen fra 800 til 200 grader.
