The wooden pallet has played an essential role in enabling global trade and establishing a common language for how we move goods. However, the current logistic system has proven to pose several safety hazards, shown to be extremely inefficient, and generates enormous amounts of waste. Today, in the construction sector alone, over a third of the waste by volume is packaging. To put it in perspective, globally, we produce around 5 billion pallets every year. With market demands for wooden pallets and plastic wrapping predicted to nearly double over the next decade, urgent action is needed to address this unsustainable use of materials. EVERLOAD seeks to address the global environmental problem of packaging waste, optimize international transportation of goods, and improve human work conditions, while also assisting companies across industries in complying to upcoming stricter taxonomies and packaging policies. This is achieved by designing products and providing services that eliminate single use waste production in packaging, transportation, and storage.
