Data fra laboratorier og fra den virkelige verden benyttes, så modellerne kan evalueres under forskellige forhold. I den virkelige verden opsamles data vha. høreapparater, sensorer, og smartphones, og in-situ spørgeskemaer benyttes til at forstå oplevet kommunikationsbesvær. Forskellige høreapparatindstillinger vil blive anvendt for at fastslå modellernes sensitivitet.
