For at imødegå den offentlige organisations øgede forsørgerbyrde vil denne ph.d.-afhandling undersøge, om noget af løsningen kan findes ved, at organisationen i højere grad lykkes med at skabe værdi i deres operationelle projekter ved nye afprøvede praksisser og en plads i porteføljen.

Selvom sammenhængen mellem CILP og hjertefibrose er stærk, er den biologiske rolle og den molekylære mekanisme uklar, og der er uenighed om, hvorvidt CILP har gavnlige eller skadelige virkninger på hjertefunktionen. Dette forslag vil afklare, om hæmning eller øgning af CILP kunne potentielt være en god behandlingsstrategi for patienter med hjertesvigt.

Novo Nordisk har monoterapi samt kombination af GLP-1- og FGF21-analoger i fase IIb kliniske forsøg, dog kendes virkningsmekanismen ikke. Målet med projektet er at afkode mekanismen i hjernen samt leveren for at understøtte den kliniske udvikling.
