Forståelse af den pelagiske fiskebestands migration er afgørende for at opretholde bæredygtige fiskerier. Samtidig udgør de lovmæssige krav om bifangstrapportering en betydelig byrde. For at imødegå disse udfordringer har dette PhD-projekt som mål at udvikle brugervenlige prøveindsamlingsmetoder, udforske pelagiske fiskebestande over tid og rum samt optimere vurderingen af bifangst.

Moderne høreapparater forsøger at afhjælpe dette, men især i komplekse lyttesituationer med multiple skiftende talere, har høreapparatsbrugere svært ved at følge samtalen. Projektet undersøger nye metoder til at kombinere lyd, hjernemålinger og øjenbevægelser til at afkode retningen for brugerens fokus og derefter præsentere det ønskede lydsignal for brugeren. Udover publikationer tænkes projektet at resultere i en realtidsdemonstrator.
