I projektet undersøges indflydelsen af kemisk, mekanisk og termisk aktivering af lermineraler med henblik opnået reaktivitet. De aktiverede lerprøver anvendes derefter som alternative bindere i cementholdige materialer og som geopolymer prækursere. Egenskaber af de syntetiserede bindemidler analyseres. Det undersøges hvilke aktiveringsteknologier der giver de bedste cementegenskaber og de mulige opnåelige reduktioner i CO2 evalueres.

The project aims to address the significant challenges of infertility, particularly focusing on male and female infertility and the related conditions of premature ovarian failure and polycystic ovarian syndrome. The project is a collaboration between Herlev Hospital and XY Therapeutics, a company that target the RANKL signaling pathway, which shows promising potential for improving fertility outcomes. The project also includes Center for Diagnostics who will assist with the development of a companions diagnostic tool. The project builds on an already strong foundation, but will strengthen the scientific and commercial aspects of the technology significantly, by expanding the indication of RANKL inhibition for to men with severely impaired sperm production or no semen production, developing a companion diagnostic tool, and investigating the impact of RANKL modulation on female reproductive function. The project encompasses a mixture of smaller investigative clinical trials and exploratory development activities within infertility. Overall, the project holds potential to make a significant economic and societal impact by providing breakthrough solutions to individuals and couples facing the burden of infertility.
