430.000 Vasuqi bruger synligt lys til at ødelægge de mest vedvarende forurenende stoffer i industrielt vand. Industrianlæg kan fjerne de fleste organiske forurenende stoffer, men de sidste 5-10% (genstridig COD) tegner sig for størstedelen af ??omkostningerne. Vi udvikler et modulært, gennemstrømningsbaseret fotokatalytisk modul til synligt lys, der mineraliserer disse forurenende stoffer i stedet for at overføre dem. Systemet kombinerer den seneste publicerede forskning fra DTU Sustain med en ny lysleveringsarkitektur for at maksimere fotonudnyttelsen og overvinde ældre udfordringer med fotokatalytiske systemer. Vasuqi muliggør polering med lav kemisk, lav energi og lavt fodaftryk, der åbner op for muligheder for genbrug af vand, reducerer driftsomkostninger og reducerer kulstofintensiteten i industriel spildevandsrensning.

1.1 mill. I dag findes der ingen standardiseret power monitoreringschip til rumindustrien. Power supplies udvikles som skræddersyede løsninger med mange diskrete komponenter, hvilket øger kompleksitet, pris og fejlrisiko. Vi udvikler en strålingshærdet, standardiseret chip, der reducerer komponentantal, systemkompleksitet og omkostninger – og samtidig øger pålideligheden.
Det globale marked for space power supplies udgør 3,69 mia. USD, hvor power management står for 29% (ca. 1,07 mia. USD). Markedet vokser med 7,36% årligt (CAGR). Estimeres power monitoring konservativt til 10–15% af power management-segmentet, svarer det til et adresserbart marked på 100–160 mio. USD årligt – med samme vækstrate. Vi adresserer således et klart og voksende nichemarked uden en standardiseret løsning.
Løsningen vil øge satellitters driftssikkerhed og reducere udviklingsomkostninger, hvilket gør satellitbaserede tjenester mere tilgængelige – herunder kommunikation, navigation, klima- og katastrofeovervågning samt maritim sikkerhed. Samtidig styrker vi europæisk teknologisk uafhængighed inden for chips og rumteknologi.
En investering fra Innovationsfonden muliggør fuldt fokus på teknologiudvikling, yderligere finansiering og fabrikation af en strålingshærdet chip i Europa.
Vi forventer en ny prototype inden for 18 måneder og et markedsklart produkt inden tre år, efterfulgt af en udvidelse med flere space-grade chips og ASIC-projekter i samarbejde med industri og forskning.

33.5 mill. Food allergy is a major health problem of growing concern, affecting more than 30 million people in US and Europe. Living with food allergy has a tremendous impact on the quality of life, with only trace amounts of allergens being able to trigger severe allergic reactions and potentially death. There are significant unmet medical needs for safe, efficacious, and convenient treatments of food allergies. FDA approved the first drug ever for food allergy immunotherapy (IT) in January 2020, thereby opening tremendous business potential within this emerging market.
ALLEVIATE2 aims to develop novel drugs for food allergy sublingual IT (SLIT) with unmatched safety, efficacy and convenience profiles that would significantly improve quality of life of patients. This project will leverage the proprietary therapeutic strategy developed at DTU and successfully applied to develop drug candidates during the IFD funded ALLEVIATE project, as well as the combined research, clinical and business expertise of DTU, SickKids Hospital and ALK, the world leading allergy IT company. ALLEVIATE2 will transfer the therapeutic strategy from peanut allergy IT drug candidates to multiple-nut and complete the preclinical drug discovery phase for peanut and multiple-nut SLIT. Market analysts forecast that ALK can capture a 2-3 BUSD market share in the emerging food allergy IT market, and ALLEVIATE2 represents the first pipeline drugs in the endeavour to realise the growth potential.
