Med afsæt i disse simuleringer udvikles der en ROM (Reduced-Order Model), som kan forudsige friktionsnedsættelsen fra luft-smøring i en brøkdel af tiden sammenlignet med CFD. ROM'en vil bruges til at demonstrere styring af luft-smøresystemer på skibe, som vil yderligere forbedre effektivteten. Dette vil nedsætte brændstof forbruget og reducere udledningen.

815.000 Plastic is directly linked to 1.8 Gt CO2e per year. Furthermore less than 10% of plastic products is being recycled. The majority of plastic is landfilled or ends up in nature, posing a significant threat to the environment. 30% of the global primary plastic production goes into packaging. The cosmetic industry alone produces over 100 billion packagings per year. But now companies are facing more pressure for change, from governments and end-consumers. So there is an unmet need in the industry for a solution that is affordable, sustainable and can also compete with plastic in functionality. Brands require a packaging that offers differentiation, aesthetic appeal, and a valuable end-consumer experience, all while keeping a competitive price. We are addressing the unmet need by creating a bio-degradable moldable material. By using nutshells as renewable feedstock, we reduce GHG emission by 40%. It's chemical composition naturally provides UV- water- and oil- protection, while being durable and lightweight. Nuterials can be used in existing standard machinery. Projections estimate the global market for sustainable packaging in cosmetics to exceed $2.52B by 2028 (CAGR 18,9%). By firstly targeting Danish innovative and eco-conscious brands, our SOM is projected to reach $25 million. The Innofounder will help us to develop our product market-readyuntil ~Q4 2025. In the longrun we want to be a material supplier, so that we can also enter other idustries and application areas.
