Innovation Fund Denmark wants to strengthen its regional roots in the regions and expands with a program advisor in the Central Jutland Region.
In order to strengthen the regional anchoring and as a follow-up to the government's growth initiative, Innovation Fund Denmark is expanding its presence in the Central Jutland Region. The aim is to ensure contact and take advantage of the opportunity for closer interaction with regional initiatives and knowledge institutions.
The foundation has hired René Damkjer, who will be tasked with disseminating knowledge of the Fund's schemes and being the link between the regional environment and Innovation Fund Denmark.
There will be a special focus on increasing awareness of InnoBooster and the Rural Growth Pilot schemes among the region's SMEs.
René will work closely with the Central Jutland Region and will be housed in Væksthus Midtjylland's premises in both Aarhus and Herning.
René Damkjer has a degree in Dairy Engineering and HD-O. René has extensive experience in the agro- and food area, where he has held a number of senior positions, including:
- CEO of the GTS Institute AgroTech (2007-2013)
- Agro Business Park Research Park (1998-2007)
- Head of Secretariat in the MAPP Center and the Food Center
Most recently, René has worked with entrepreneurship and SMEs in relation to a major European application - FoodNexus-KIC and as Deputy Chairman of the InnoBooster panel.
