ITEA is the EUREKA Cluster for software innovation and digital transition. ITEA projects enables the international community of large industry, SMEs, academia and other organisations to collaborate in R&D&I projects that turn innovative ideas into new business, jobs and economic growth as well as benefits for society. ITEA is industry driven and covers a wide range of market areas and sectors, which can benefit of new digital solutions.

Who?

All types of partners can participate in ITEA projects if accepted by their national funding agencies. ITEA focuses on industrial driven applied solutions, and IFD therefore encourages Danish research institutes/universities to include Danish industrial partners in the consortia to maximise the potential for impact in Denmark.

What?

Application can address larger societal challenges by implementing digital solutions applied to all aspects of society. Software services facilitating such changes is the main focus of ITEA.

How much?

ITEA applications typically consist of large consortia with 10-20 partners from 5-10 countries. The average project budget is 5-10 Mio. Euro. Maximum funding to all Danish partners in one project is 500.000 EUR per project incl. overhead (if it includes more than one Danish partner) and maximum 300.000 EUR incl. overhead per Danish partner.

After the central application deadline Innovation Fund Denmark will invite applicants to upload a pdf of the application with annexes via the national e-grant platform. The invitation is normally sent approximately 2-4 weeks after the application deadline.

Non-public organisations will be requested to upload a ‘No undertaking in difficulty’ declaration. In addition, SME’s will be required to upload an ‘SME declaration’ and an ‘Ability to co-finance’ declaration. If requesting de minimis funding, then a ‘de minimis aid compliance form’ is required.
